SPOT On

What is SPOT On?

SPOT On is a collaborative program led by an occupational therapist and a speech-language pathologist. Together, they create a supportive group environment where individual goals are addressed through engaging activities. Designed for children ages 7–12, the program focuses on building essential social and life skills, empowering participants to confidently interact with peers, and participate in age-appropriate experiences.

SPOT On strengthens mental health by supporting social competence, emotional regulation, and confidence in social interactions. By simulating real-life skills in a supportive environment, children develop resilience and a stronger sense of belonging, reducing anxiety and improving overall well-being.

Our child-first, expert services utilize established practices to focus on:

  • Autism
  • Hemiplegia
  • Everyday Kids (School, Sensory, and the In-Between)

And we do it all so that each child can reach their fullest potential!

Who Would Benefit?

Children who demonstrate difficulty with:

  • Sensory processing
  • Muscle tone or strength
  • Motor planning
  • Self-regulation
  • Receptive/expressive language
  • Motor speech (apraxia, dysarthria)
  • Communicating needs, wants, and ideas
  • Social skills
  • Self-help skills
  • Play skills
  • Attending to group activities

A Collaborative Approach

At Intensive Therapeutics, we value a collaborative, interdisciplinary approach. We offer sessions incorporating both occupational and speech therapy. This allows us to look at your child as a whole within the context of various settings.

Additionally, we welcome information from all members of your child’s team, including parents/caregivers, other therapists, teachers, doctors, and other medical professionals, in order to maximize the therapeutic experience.
