Group Programs

IT Works (Prevocational and Independent Living)

IT Works is a prevocational and independent living skills training program, consisting of a small group of young adults led by an occupational therapist and a speech-language pathologist. Group members explore and develop various skills necessary for job success as well as independent living.

This program runs throughout the year and is broken up into an intensive summer program as well as a year-round, weekly maintenance program.

Tailored for: Teens & Young Adults

Say & Play (Speech/OT Play Group)

Say & Play is run by an occupational therapist and a speech-language pathologist who collaborate to address individual goals within the context of a group. Children will develop expressive, receptive, and pragmatic (social) language while participating in play-based activities. Say & Play addresses gross motor, fine motor, self-help (dressing, eating, etc.) skills as well as sensory processing abilities.

After School Helping Hands

After School Helping Hands, an occupational therapy program for children with hemiplegia, provides constraint-induced movement therapy in a group setting so that it is a FUN after school experience. This group can be considered a maintenance group for kids who attend our intensive “Camp” Helping Hands programs in the summer and/or winter.

Intensive Therapy Programs

Helping Hands

(offered in summer and winter months)

At our Helping Hands programs we have had children with hemiplegia come from around the world. We run the program in a group, as a camp, so it can actually be a FUN experience. Helping Hands uses carefully designed activities to drive therapeutic gains. For parents who choose to combine disciplines, activities specifically designed to integrate 1, 2 or 3 therapy services will be built into the camp day.

Tailored for: Children with Hemiplegia

Individual Intensity Program

The Individual Intensity Program is a 4-week, intensive occupational therapy program providing constraint-induced movement therapy (CIMT) and bimanual training for children with hemiplegia. One child works with one occupational therapist for up to 6 hours per day.

Tailored for: Children with Hemiplegia

Leaps & Bounds

(offered in summer months)

Leaps & Bounds is a speech and occupational therapy program for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or sensory-motor issues who exhibit limitations in play, school, socialization, and activities of daily living. Leaps & Bounds uses carefully designed activities to drive therapeutic gains. The exciting part of this unique integration of OT and speech goals within a single activity allows a child a full-body, “real world” experience.

(Bike Riding Program, 6-week sessions)
