MOVE IT is a group exercise program that focuses on building confidence, coordination, and body awareness through participation in various stretches, exercises and sport-based activities.
MOVE IT is led by a physical therapist and is designed for teens and young adults to enhance postural control and safe movement patterns while giving participants the opportunity to work on gross motor activities in a supportive environment with peers. The group also fosters social interaction, teamwork, and confidence in movement — all while having fun.
Who would benefit?
Those who exhibit or have history of the following:
- Difficulty keeping up with peers during physical activity, running, or movement activities
- Challenges with balance, coordination, & body awareness
- Low confidence in sports-specific activities or movement
- Limited understanding of safe stretching or exercise routines
- Avoidance of outdoor play, playground activities, or team sports
- Delayed motor milestones

Fridays, 12:30 to 1:30 PM
Group runs from December to June
Enrollment
Prior to enrollment, our physical therapist will schedule an on-site visit with you and your child to determine if MOVE IT is the right fit!
