An occupational therapy program providing constraint-induced movement therapy for children with upper extremity hemiplegia.
Our Helping Hands After School Program is run in a group, so it is a FUN after school experience. Kids seeing other kids with similar issues is often a unifying experience and can be more motivating to participate in therapeutic activities than individual therapy experiences. This group can be considered a maintenance group for kids that attend Camp Helping Hands in the summer.
It also should be clear that as occupational therapist’s we are aware of other issues that could impact your child’s functional abilities, such as:
- Visual issues
- Gross motor issues
- Sensory issues
Helping Hands After School group will be offered at both of our locations at the following times:
West Caldwell: Monday, 4:30-5:30
Fanwood: Monday, 4:30-5:30
